The quick-dry fabric actually works, it was almost dry by the time I got back to the car after a swim. The drawstring waist stays put without digging in, and the side pockets are deep enough for my phone and keys.
Wore this for a full day at the beach and it dried out within minutes after getting out of the water. The side pockets are a nice touch for holding my keys, and the elastic waist with the cord stayed put even after lunch.
