Wore these straight from the pool to lunch and they were basically dry by the time we sat down. The elastic waist with the drawstring stays put when you're actually swimming, no constant tugging. Pockets are a nice bonus for keys.
The quick-dry fabric actually works, I rinsed it in the sink and it was ready to go again after lunch. Elastic waist with the drawcord stayed put during a swim, and the pockets are deep enough for my phone.
Wore this for a whole afternoon at the pool and it was dry within minutes of getting out. The side pockets are a nice touch too, my phone and keys fit without dragging the shorts down.
